Step 1: Book your appointment.
Call, email or simply stop in and set up a convenient time for a fantastic portrait experience!

Step 2: Arrive.
Upon entering our welcoming studio (in a 125+ year old Victorian home that has been converted into a commercial property) our clients have described the feeling as “cozy”, “comfy” and “welcoming”.  Just fill in an information sheet and the model release and we’re on our way to an enjoyable session. (Yes, it will be fun! It isn’t supposed to be painful to get your photo taken!)

Step 3: Starting the session.
Your photographer will take a moment to get to know you and your family and find out what your preferences and dislikes are. Then we’ll get going!

Step 4: Your FUN portrait experience.
We are crazy around here!  Sometimes we’re jumping up and down and singing songs to help people relax, sometimes we’re quiet and calm. It all depends on what your family or child needs. Get ready for a wild ride though… this is a blast.  We like to play music while we take your photos… we’ll ask you what you want to listen to… and you can even play your own music if you want!  Just bring along a cd and we’ll pop it in. Kids music, relaxational music, rock and roll, hip-hop, ANYTHING!!  (Except profanity of course, this is primarily a children’s portrait studio after all.)

Step 5: Wrapping up your visit
At the end of your visit we will bring you back out to the front desk and show you how to access your images online. Your proofs will be put online within a few days of your session on a password protected photo album. This is an interactive site where you can view your photos in colour, black and white, or sepia. You can also place your order using the user-friendly shopping cart.  If you choose to share the password with friends and family… then they can order their own prints too!

Before you head out, you will also be asked to pay a retainer fee of $109.61. This fee is like buying a gift certificate as it is credited to you when you buy your prints. The starting print fee is $97 (plus taxes that comes to $109.61… so prepaying that amount means that unless you choose to add on extra items… you would owe nothing when you pick up your prints or have them shipped to you).

Of course, this is when the Sticker Station comes out for all our wonderful child clients to pick their favourite sticker. Be sure to allot a few minutes for this... there's too many choices for our smallest clients... hmmmm... decisions, decisions... which sticker to  pick!

Step 6: Viewing, ordering and receiving your prints.
Your album is up for 60 days. During that time you can view your photos as often as you like and even create a favourites list.  When you are ready to place your order, do so online by adding images to your shopping cart. Payments are handled at the studio when you pick up your images (your credit will be applied and any difference that may be due will be payable at that time). If your images are being shipped, we will communicate with you to arrange payment and confirm shipping info.

Your prints are ready in 1-4 weeks depending on the types of items you ordered (i.e. standard prints take less time than a custom canvas print). If you have questions about the timeline, please ask. We will contact you when your order is complete.

You’re done!  That’s it… proudly display your images and we’ll look forward to seeing you through our lens again soon... and catching your dream come true.
