Additional children: $12* each to a maximum of 12 children. (please note: additional children, will require additional adult helpers/parents to change them in and out of costumes in a timely manner). A deposit of $100 is due to hold your date with the balance due at the time of the party.

Parties subject to set availability. Please call to see if your desired set will be in place on the date you are interested in.

Princess Party

• Up to 8 children ages 3-9
• Entrance welcome sign with balloons
• 2 hour access to our large main room in our beautiful century-home studio.
• A "tea" party, complete with pretty Tea Party Menu, fruit drink "tea" served from a beautiful teapot into real tea cups, complete with tablecloth, napkin rings, doilies, princess place card for each guest, and princess music.
• A princess theme cake.
• Each child will have the opportunity to dress up in a costume and have a portrait in our Dreamscape Set. Guests will each leave with a 5x7 (photographer chooses which pose is printed), birthday child leaves with an 8x10 print (parents may choose image). (Approx. 3-5 shots taken of each child.)
• Photos will be put online, password protected, and each child sent home with access info, should parents wish to purchase additional prints - with NO minimum purchase required.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is not supplied? We do not supply any activities (i.e. craft, games, etc.). It is suggested that you have a planned activity to keep children occupied when it is not their turn to be photographed. Although we do supply a front door welcome, the table settings and some minor room decorations, additional decorations are the responsibility of the host. Please note that the studio is over 125 years old and the walls cannot handle 3M hooks, tape or nails. To maintain the quality of costumes for our portraits, costumes are unfortunately not supplied for use in the party room.

How much time is needed for the photo taking? Upon the arrival of all of your guests, we begin to photograph the children, one by one, upstairs in our Dreamscape Set in our second studio area. Please note: An adult/parent must be present at all times in both the party room and Dreamscape Set area. Including changing time we can photograph approx. 8-12 children in an hour. We suggest that while children are being removed from the room individually, crafts or party games occur in the party room to entertain the children who are not being photographed at that moment. Once the children are all back together again in the party room and everyone has had a chance to have their photo taken, you have one hour in the party room to handle cake, presents and any party activities you desire. During that time, the photographer will prepare the 5x7 photos for your guests to take home as well as let you choose the photo to be enlarged as an 8x10 of the birthday child. The images will be loaded online onto a password protected website and every guest will go home with the password and access information. If additional prints are desired, they can be ordered (with no minimums) by anyone with access to the album directly from Dream Catcher Photo (the party hosts do not have to be involved in the ordering process).

What should the children bring? To get the best look out of the princess or fairy costumes, it is recommended that only undergarments are worn, and either bare feet, or tights or socks and dress shoes. If parents are not comfortable with this, little girls have had good results with wearing a bathing suit or dance/gymnastics leotard underneath their costume. For the wizard or knight costumes or the cowboy/girl costumes, black pants and a solid colour t-shirt or turtleneck is recommended. You are welcome to bring any additional props you may have from your own dress-up collection, if you wish.

Is it possible to have a mixed gender party? Of course! We have some boy costumes suitable for our Enchanted Forest /Princess set, and girls can always wear the Wild West costumes as well. Although many boys may not feel at home in a Princess Party, we can certainly accommodate them from a portrait standpoint.

What sizes of costumes do you have? We can accommodate ages newborn to approx. age 10. Because of several factors, our parties are generally suitable for ages 3 to 9.

Who dresses the children? Getting the child dressed in their costumes is the responsibility of the host. Dream Catcher Photography is neither present during, nor assumes any responsibility, for dressing the children.

What staff do you provide? One photographer and one party room helper (parents are expected to run any craft and activities and handle food needs. The helper is there for assistance within the facility.)
